As the weeklong lockdown continues to remain in effect, the number of people effected by Covid-19 has not yet subsided, as more and more people continue to either be infected from the virus or die from it.
45 people have died from the virus all over the country in the last 24 hours.
Patients kept in Covid units of the hospitals they have been admitted in ranged from Rajshahi to Khulna, Satkhira, Tangail, and Kushtia.
13 people died in Rajshahi’s Rajshahi Medical college hospital, where director Brigadier Shameem Yazdany, reported that 8 of the 13 were Covid positive and 5 showed symptoms.
Khulna Medical College Hospital’s resident medical officer Suhas Chandra Halder reported 6 deaths, all Covid positive, under the hospitals’ Covid unit.
In Khulna, Gazi Medical College Hospital’s chairman Gazi Mizanur Rahman reported the deaths of an additional 4 Covid positive patients, with another Covid positive patient dying at Khulna General Hospital.
Kushtia’s district civil surgeon Anowarul Islam reported that 7 Covid patients have passed away in the past 24 hours at the hospitals in the districts.
SaMCH superintendent Kudrat-e-Khuda reported of the 5 deaths at Satkhira Medical College Hospital over the past 24 hours. They had all died in the Covid unit of the hospital while suffering the symptoms from the virus.
Meanwhile Abul Fazal Shahabuddin, the district civil surgeon in Tangail, reported the deaths of 3 Covid positive patients and 6 having symptoms, to have died in the hospitals in the district over the past 24 hours.
This has tallied the total number of Covid deaths to be 14 thousand 778, with the total number of people affected by the virus standing at 9 lakhs 30 thousand 42.
