Staff reporter : The fire that broke out at a leather godown in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh has been brought under control on Friday.

Twelve firefighting units brought the fire under control after around 3 hours’ frantic efforts.
Earlier, the fire was reported on the fifth floor of a seven-storey building around 2:00pm.

Lima Khanam, Fire Service Control Room duty officer, said five units of the fire extinguishers first went to the spot to tame the flames and later, seven more units joined the efforts.
The army, Border Guard Bangladesh, BGB, police, and Rapid Action Battalion, RAB, personnel assisted the Fire Service to put out the fire.
However, the causes of the fire could not be known and no casualties were reported.
