A fashion entrepreneur has filed a fresh case against actress Tanjin Tisha, accusing her of issuing threats again.

Ayeshah Anum Fayazah Sanaya Chowdhury filed the case with a Dhaka executive magistrate court on Monday. The court recorded her statement and directed Tisha to appear on November 23 to explain her position regarding the allegations.

Lawyer Shubhra Sinha Roy, representing the plaintiff, confirmed the development to the media.

The latest case comes a day after a court ordered further investigation into an earlier case filed against the actress. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been instructed to investigate the allegations and submit a report by December 31.

Earlier, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted a final report to the court, stating that it had found no evidence to substantiate the allegations. After hearing the plaintiff’s objection to the report, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam ordered a fresh investigation.

Lawyer Shubhra Sinha Roni said the court had also recorded witness statements during the hearing on the objection petition before assigning the investigation to the CID.

According to the case documents, Sanaya Chowdhury initially filed a case against Tisha on November 27, 2025.

She alleged that on December 13, 2024, Tisha took a sari worth Tk 75,000 to wear at an event, promising to return it the following day. However, the sari was allegedly not returned.

Sanaya further claimed that when she asked for the sari back, Tisha verbally abused her and threatened to kill her. In connection with the incident, she filed a general diary with Gulshan Police Station on November 12, 2025.

After completing its investigation, the PBI submitted a final report to the court on May 25, recommending that Tisha be discharged from the case, citing a lack of evidence to support the allegations.

Following the plaintiff’s objection, the court ordered further investigation into the earlier case. The latest complaint adds another legal development to the ongoing dispute between the actress and the fashion entrepreneur.
