Terrifying Tangail crash leaves 5 dead

While an ambulance carrying passenger was travelling from Dhaka due to strict lockdowns blocking any modes of public transport from travelling on the road, it came into collision with a pickup van in Tangail’s Kalihati upazila on Saturday morning.

The collision occurred at 7:30 in the morning when the ambulance travelling from the opposite direction on the east side of Bangabandhu Bridge in Hatia area, came into contact with the pickup-van.

At the impact of the crash, 3 of the passengers travelling in the ambulance died on the spot.

The remaining 7 passengers were taken to Tangail General Hospital, where one died immediately upon arrival and another at 11:30am, while receiving treatment.
