In Khakanda village in Nasirabad union of Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district, 4-year-old Rishamani, daughter of Saudi expat Tofazzul Hossain, while visiting her uncle was spending her Monday afternoon playing with her 3-year-old cousin, Ratul in the garden adjacent to her uncle’s house.

However, things took a devastating turn when the children accidentally fell into a body of water where they subsequently sank and drowned.

Their bodies were found floating on the surface of the water at night after their families conducted a long search for the children who had gone missing since the afternoon.

The doctor in duty at the Bhangar Upazila Health Complex, where the children were immediately rushed in after discovery, declared them dead.

Fazlul Rahman, a member of Nasirabad Union Parishad's 5th ward, confirmed the authenticity of the incident.
