Vaccines might be brought into Bangladesh

With the country in dire a condition, the current Covid-19 situation is seen to be deteriorating at an alarming rate.

The insufficient amount of vaccines being brought in the country does not help the situation either.

Amidst that, bringing in hope, The Serum Institute of India is said to start exporting doses of their vaccines to Bangladesh, amongst countries like Nepal and Sri Lanka, by the end of July or the beginning of August.

This information has been relayed by Indian news platform, The Print, on Wednesday June 23.

The Serum Institute of India was supposed to supply 30 million doses of its AstraZeneca vaccine to Bangladesh, but was able to bring in only 1 million of those doses due to India’s escalating Covid-19 crisis.
