Declare the results of all the states

Biden reached 308 votes

International Desk: The US media has announced the results of the presidential elections in all the states of the country. The results, announced Friday afternoon, show Democrat candidate Joe Biden consolidating his position as president with 307 electoral college votes. Incumbent President Donald Trump received 232 electoral votes.

As of Friday, Biden had 279 votes and Trump 218. The results for the states of Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina were announced yesterday.

In the states of Arizona and Georgia, Joe Biden received the most popular votes, and in those two states, 27 Electoral College votes were collected. As a result, his vote count stood at 306. With 15 votes in North Carolina, President Trump managed to garner a total of 232 electoral votes.

This is the exact opposite result of the 2016 presidential election. In that year's presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump was elected president with 307 electoral college votes. His rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, received 232 votes.

The state of Georgia has said in a statement that the two candidates were close to each other and that their votes would be recounted. But state election officials announced Friday that the figures would not change even if recounted. Biden's victory in the state marks the first time since 1992 that a Democrat has won in Georgia.

Trump, meanwhile, has called on his supporters to take to the streets to protest the refusal to accept the results as usual. Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also claimed in a statement that President Trump is going to take power again. But with the final results announced on Friday, observers say it would be impossible for the Trump administration to make the same claim.
