Shakib, Soumya, Mustafiz return

Sports Desk: Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar and Mostafizur Rahman returned to the team for the last two matches of the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe as part of the preparations for the upcoming World Cup. Meanwhile, Shariful Islam, Parvez Imon and Afif Hossain have been dropped from the team.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the information on Wednesday.

Although Afif and Eamon were in the squad in the first 3 matches of the series, they were not included in the XI in any matches. This time they have been excluded from the squad for the last 2 matches. And the pacer Sharuful Islam has been rested by the team management in the last 2 matches.

The last two matches of the series will be held on May 10 and 12 respectively. Both the matches will be held at Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium. The fourth match will start at 6pm and the fifth will start at 10am.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto (captain), Liton Kumar Das, Tanjid Hasan Tamim, Shakib Al Hasan, Tawheed Hriday, Mahmudullah, Zaker Ali Anik, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman, Tanjim Hasan Shakib, Soumya Sarkar, Tanveer Islam And Saif Uddin.
