If the MP, upazila chairman and local representatives visit all these places and give us a report, we will be able to take measures, said Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen.

He stated this after visiting Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Thursday (March 7) afternoon.

Dr. Samant Lal Sen said, I have been to Osmani Medical before. But today I am coming with another responsibility. From what I saw, the situation in all hospitals is the same here, patients on the ground. The problem I have identified is that we lack manpower here in various upazilas.

The health minister said, if we can provide proper medical services in the upazilas, then the patients will not have to lie on the ground in the medical college hospitals. This problem cannot be solved in a day. I am trying to solve the problems step by step.

In response to a question regarding the slowness of various projects going on in Sylhet, he said, I know all this. I will arrange for these to be implemented as soon as possible.
