Sun News Desk: At least 34 more COVID-19 cases were reported across the country during the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday.
A total of 409 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 8.31 per cent.

The country’s total fatalities remained unchanged at 29,482 as no death was reported during the period.
Besides, the country's total number of coronavirus cases reached 20,47,233 and the total number of recoveries was 20,14,465, it said.

Note that Bangladesh detected its first coronavirus patient on 8 March in 2020 and recorded its first death of the disease on 18 March that year.
