16 dengue patients die

Sun News Desk : Sixteen dengue patients died and 2,418 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Tuesday.

With the latest death, a total of 201 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 7,927 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,646 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 3,281 are in other divisions.

As many as 37,688 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
