Sun News Desk : Five dengue patients died and 1246 others hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
With the latest death, a total of 88 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 3,791 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 2,530 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1261 are in other divisions.

As many as 16,143 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 12,264 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
