Sun News Desk : At least 15 dengue patients died and 2,944 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.

With the latest death, a total of 767 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 9,988 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,137 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,851 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,57,172 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,46,417 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
