AKM Rakib, Vice-president (VP) candidates from the two panels backed by Chhatra Dal and Islami Chhatra Shibir have expressed confidence about their chances of the university's central students' union elections.
He made this comment after casting vote at 9:30AM on Tuesday in Room 212 of his own department, botany.

Speaking to media while leaving the polling station, Rakib said, "The situation on campus has been positive since the morning. I hope it stays like this until the end.''

''I have a long-standing relationship with the students and have received a very positive response from them. Regardless of who wins today, the ultimate victor will be Jagannath University."
