Sun News Desk : Three persons were killed and six others injured in a road accident at Chandina upazila in Cumilla on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Alamgir Hossain, 38, a resident of Ganipur village, Bahram Mia, 60, of Harikhola village of the upazila, and motorcycle rider Abul Kalam, 40, of Kurchap village under Debidwar upazila.
Witnesses said a passenger bus was going to Chattogram in the morning. On the way, it lost control and overturned on the highway while trying to save a motorcycle in that area. Two pedestrians who were standing on the side of the road died on the spot.

The seriously injured motorcyclist died on the way to hospital.
Nazmul Huda, Elliotganj Highway Police outpost sergeant, confirmed the matter.
