Sun News Desk : At least 10 dengue patients died and 2,748 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Saturday.

With the latest death, a total of 716 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 10,198 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,411 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,787 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,45,335 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,34,421 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
