Sun News Desk : A youth committed suicide after killing his wife in Noakhali's Maizdi today.

The deceased were identified as Mehedi Hasan Shuvo, 22, and his wife Tamanna Islam, 16.

Police said the youth cut the throat of his wife and then committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to morgue for autopsy.

Mir Jahedul Haque Roni, Sudharam Police Station officer-in-charge, said ''Initially it seemed that husband Shuvo first killed his wife by slitting her throat and finally committed suicide by hanging himself. Police are investigating the incident.''
