Two killed being crushed

Sun News Desk : Two workers were killed as a truck overturned on them while repairing it on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narayanganj district on Friday.

The deceased were as Md Yunus, 23, son of Mofizul, hailed from Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha district, and Md Yakub, 20, son of Delwar Hossain, from Sonargaon upazila in the district.

Ali Ashraf, Bhulta Highway Police camp traffic inspector, said Yunus and Yakub along with another was repairing the truck in the area. At that time, the truck slipped and overturned on them, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies from the spot and handed over to the family members upon their request, he said.

The legal action in this regard was underway, added the police official.
