Covid-19 in Khulna, 13 more dead

In the last 24 hours, 13 people have died Covid-19 related deaths in 3 of Khulna’s hospitals.

Dr Sadia Monwar Usha from Khulna Civil Surgeon's Office has reported on Wednesday June 23, that 305 of the 771 tested samples have produced a positive result in the last 24 hours. This has resulted in the infection rate to currently stand at 39%.

Dr Suhas Ranjan Haldar, spokesperson at Khulna Medical College Hospital's Corona Dedicated Unit, reported that there has been 156 admissions in the hospital till 8am, out of which 98 has been placed in the red zone, 22 in the yellow zone, 16 in the HDU and 20 in the ICU.

According to spokesperson of the 250-bed General Hospital Corona Unit, Dr Kazi Abu Rashed, 22 patients have been admitted in the hospital in the last 24 hours, out of whom 11 are male and 11 are female. 1 has been reported dead and 3 has taken clearance.

There are currently 49 people admitted, with 24 of them being male, and 25, female.

Head of Gazi Medical College Hospital, Gazi Mizanur Rahman has reported that there have been 22 new admissions of patients along with the initial 81 who have been brought in the morning, and 12 have been cleared out of the hospital. Out of the ones admitted, 6 have passed away.

Among the 31 samples tested in the hospital, 24 tests came out to be positive in the last 24 hours.
