BNP Standing Committee member and Prime Minister's Adviser Mirza Abbas will return home on September 2 after medical treatment in Singapore and Malaysia.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the information.
He said Mirza Abbas is scheduled to land in Dhaka at 9:00 PM on Wednesday (September 2) on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
After receiving medical care in Singapore and Malaysia for an extended period, he is returning from Malaysia following recommendations from his medical board as a clearance was issued and his health has significantly improved.
Mirza Abbas was flown to Singapore by an air ambulance on March 15 after his health deteriorated in Dhaka.He is currently under close observation by specialist physicians.
Earlier, on March 11, Abbas suddenly lost consciousness while drinking water during iftar. When his condition did not improve, he was admitted late that night to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
Mirza Abbas was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Dhaka-8 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
