Collision of a bus and a private car on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway resulted the death of 3 people in Sadar South upazila in Cumilla district this Friday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 18 years old Mohammad Miraz, 35 years old Belal Hossain both residing in Khilgaon, Dhaka, and, 52 years old Mohammad Dulal from Laxmipur. Additionally a few others have been injured as a result of the crash.
A bus from Shyamoli Paribahan slammed into a Laxmipur bound car that was making a U-turn in Jokanan area, killing Miraz and Dulal on the spot, with Belal later dying on the way to the hospital, as stated by Cumilla’s Mainamati Highway Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Abdur Rahman.
The vehicles have been seized by the police sans the bus-driver, and the helper. The bodies are currently being planned on being handed over to the victims’ respective families, post autopsy.
