BCL attacks Chhatra Odhikar Parishad

Sun News Desk: At least 25 leaders and activists have been wounded after Bangladesh Chhatra League men allegedly attacked on Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad at TSC on the Dhaka University campus on Friday.

Witnesses said the BCL men allegedly attacked when leaders and activists of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad brought out a procession from Raju Memorial Sculpture and was marching toward the TSC around 11am on Friday. BCL men allegedly obstructed them, triggering the scuffle.

The Chhatra Odhikar Parishad men also got into a clash with the BCL men. The injured are from both groups.

During the incident, 25 leaders and activists were injured. The injured were taken to different hospitals in the capital.

Nawaz Khan, president of the Government Titumir College unit Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, said some BCL men carried out attacks on them in front of the Raju Memorial Sculpture on Friday morning while they were observing the anniversary programme.
