Sun News Desk: Some 322 road accidents occurred across the country in the first week of October this year. Among them, 63 people died and 244 others were injured in the accident.

This information comes out in the report of 'Save the Road', a voluntary organization to prevent accidents on air-road-rail and sea. The report was made on road accidents from 1st to 7th October.

According to the organization, 23 road accidents occurred between 8 am and 4 pm on October 7.

The report mentions that those accidents were caused only by reckless driving. Save the Road has given several suggestions to prevent accidents.

The suggestions are- activation BRTA's Magistrate Team, inspecting the depots so that unfit buses do not enter the road, Checking whether the driver has a license or not, installation of speed guns, CCTV on roads, motorcycle lanes and police booths to prevent reckless speeding. Set the speed limit for all vehicles including buses and trucks.

Shanta Farzana, Secretary General of Save the Road, said the heroes behind the death on the road are mainly those who commit crimes and corruption and make fun of people's lives. Saying 'no' to them, I would request the concerned parties to make the roads accident-free of Bangladesh.
