PM pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Sun News Desk: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana paid tribute on Friday at Bangabandhu's tomb in Tungipara of Gopalganj.

They laid wreaths at the tomb of the father of nation. Later, she participated in special prayers and prayers for the souls of the martyrs of August 15. At this time, a team of armed forces gave a guard of honor to the Prime Minister.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister started her journey with a convoy from Gana Bhavan. Later, they crossed the Padma Bridge and halted at Service Area-2. Bangabandhu's two daughters reached Tungipara at 10am in the morning.

The Prime Minister is supposed to welcome Abdul Hamid in the afternoon. After that, the Prime Minister will leave for Dhaka from Tungipara.
