Sun News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned home from Washington DC after 18-day state official visit to the United Kingdom and the United States.

A VVIP chartered flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 1pm on Tuesday.
The flight took off from Washington DC at 6:30pm (local time) on Sunday. At this time, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Muhammad Imran and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, Muhammad Abdul Muhit bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the airport.

The Prime Minister took a brief stopover in London on her way home from Washington DC.
Sheikh Hasina went to London on a state visit to the United Kingdom on September 15. She attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and a reception hosted by King Charles III.

She left London for New York on September 19. During her visit in the United States, she addressed the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 23 and participated in several other events.
