Sun News Desk: At least 6 people including a child were killed and more than 50 others injured in a bus-microbus collision in Tangail. The army, police and fire service members rescued them and sent them to Tangail General Hospital.

The accident occurred around 1:20 on Thursday at Bangabandhu Bridge East Goal Square area.
Bangabandhu Setu East Police Station (OC) Sofikur Rahman confirmed this matter. The name of the deceased could not be immediately known.

The (OC) Sofikur Rahman said that a passenger bus, Ekta Parivan, was going to Dhaka from Rajshahi. At that time, there was a head to head collision with a microbus leaving Dhaka. Six dead bodies have been recovered from the spot.
The (OC) Sofikur Rahman also said the death toll may increase. The injured were rescued and sent to Tangail General Hospital. Many of them are in critical condition.
