International Desk: South Korea and the United States have launched four missiles after one day North Korea's missile launch. The two countries fired four missiles into the East Sea on Wednesday .

The East Sea is commonly known as the Sea of Japan. Reports Yonhap news agency citing the South Korean military.
North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan for the first time in five years. South Korea's military said four missiles were fired in response to the launch of a ballistic missile over Japan.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that South Korea and the US each fired two Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). All missiles hit dummy targets.
A missile were launched by North Korea On Tuesday that flew over Japanese territory and fell into the Pacific Ocean. Japan says the missile appears to have flown over its territory before landing on the Pacific Ocean.
It was the first time since 2017, Japan did not use any defenses to destroy North Korean ballistic missile that flew over Japan, the country said.

Hirokazu Matsuno, Japan's chief government spokesman, said that the missile flew 4,600 kilometers (2,850 miles) at a maximum altitude of 1,000 kilometers. South Korea, on the other hand, said it was an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM).
Soon after, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol called North Korea's missile launch a `provocation' and vowed a `stern response'. Later on Tuesday, South Korean and US warplanes bombed a target in the Yellow Sea.

UN chief Antonio Guterres condemned the incident, calling North Korea's latest missile test a 'clear escalation'. US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also condemned the missile launch in `strong terms'.
