Sun News Desk: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 58 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.

This matter was confirmed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Monday (August 22) morning.
According to DMP, as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested from 6 am on Sunday (August 21) to Monday morning in various areas of the capital.

At that time, The DMP seized 2 thousand 257 pieces of yaba, 56 grams of heroin, 56 kg of 150 grams of ganja, 10 narcotic injections, 480 cans of foreign liquor and 20 liters of domestic liquor were recovered from the arrested persons.

According to the statement, a total of 40 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
