Staff Correspondent: Buying Anti-drug selling and consumption of drugs in a raid arrested 73 alleged Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Crime and Intelligence Division.
They were arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs in a raid from 6 am on Sunday (December 12) to 6 am on Monday (December 13) as part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive.
Hafiz Al Asad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, made the announcement on Monday morning.
During the arrest, 4400 pieces of Yaba, 110 grams of 176 Puria heroin, 8 bottles of domestic liquor and 77 kg 955 grams of 45 Puria cannabis were seized from their custody.
The police official also said that 49 cases have been registered against them under the Narcotics Control Act at the concerned police station.
