Staff reporter : Awami League presidium member and former minister Amir Hossain Amu has been arrested from Dhanmondi area in the capital on Wednesday.

Rezaul Karim Mallik, chief of the DB of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter.
He said that Amu faces several murder cases. He will be produced before a court and remand has been sought after formally showing him as arrested in one of the cases.
