Sun News Desk: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 55 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.

This matter was confirmed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Monday (August 29) morning.
According to DMP, as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested from 6 am on Sunday (August 28) to Monday morning in various areas of the capital.

At that time, 925 pieces of Yaba, 151 grams of Heroin, 10 kg of 710 grams of Ganja, four liters of foreign liquor and 90 bottles of Phencidil were recovered from the arrested persons.

According to the statement, a total of 40 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
