Staff reporter : Police have arrested former Awami League lawmaker Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin from Mohammadpur in the capital on Monday.

He was arrested by a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Mohiuddin, also the president of Bangladesh Medical Associations (BMA), was shown arrested under the Special Power Act, said Dhaka Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner for Media and Public Relations Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

Talebur Rahman also said he was an accused in number of cases, including murder, related to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
