2 killed in Faridpur road crash

Sun News Desk: At least 2 people were killed and 6 others injured in a road accident in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Thursday.

The deceased are- Laboni Akter, 38, a resident of Atadi village in the upazila, and her daughters Suraiya, 17, and Joynab, 3.

Shibchar Highway Police Station officer in-charge Md Abu Naim confirmed the matter.

Locals and police said a private car hit a truck in Suadi area under Chandra union on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway around 7:45 am, one passenger of the former vehicle dead on the spot and others injured.

Among the injured, one, later, died at Bhanga Upazila Health Complex while another passed away at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital, Faridpur.
