US blizzard: Death toll rises to 56

International Desk: The situation in the United States is becoming deadly due to the 'Cyclone Bomb' or snowstorm. As a result, a large part of the North American continent is almost frozen in extreme cold. The number of death in this storm has increased to 56 people. Last Monday this number was 34 people, reports BBC.

Temperatures has already reached 53 degrees below freezing in western Canada. The temperature in Minnesota is 38 degrees below freezing, the mercury in Dallas has dropped to 13 degrees below freezing.

The blizzard left America's roads covered in thick layers of ice. its height is 8 to 10 feet. As a result, the communication and transportation system in the United States is disrupted.

So far, 15,000 flights have been cancelled. Power service has also been disrupted in parts of the US. About 2,00000 people are living without electricity. There is no guarantee when the situation will be normal.
