2 killed as bus hits motorcycle

Sun News Desk: Two people were killed when a bus hit the motorcycle in Kalihati of Tangail on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Ismail Hossain, 55, and Masudur Rahman Majumdar, 54. Both of them were working in a private development company. Both of them were working in a private development company.

Liton Miah, Deputy Inspector of Bangabandhu Setu East Police Station said that a motorcycle was crossing the Bhuyapur Link Road of the highway when the Haseeb Paribahan bus hit the motorcycle. Two people on the motorcycle died on the spot.

He also said that the bodies of the victims were recovered and sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue. The body will be handed over to the family after legal proceedings. The bus has been impounded but the driver and helper are absconding.
