Sun News Desk: A farmer was killed after being hit by the 'Tourist Express' train at Akhaura in Brahmanbaria On Friday.

The deceased was identified as Madhu Sheel (53), who is the son of deceased Hari Sadhan Sheel of Uttarpara area of Nayadil.
Md. Jasim Uddin Khandkar, Akhaura Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) confirmed the matter.
Abdul Matin, Chairman of Mogra Union, said Madhu Sheel was crossing the Gangesagar New Delhi Uttarpara Railway to work on the land in the morning. At this time, due to thick fog and poor hearing, he could not see the train and the train's whistle. He was injured and died on the way to Brahmanbaria after receiving first aid at Akhaura Upazila Health Complex with the help of locals.

On information, the police recovered the body from the spot and sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue. The railway police said that the body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
