Staff reporter : The first phase of 152 upazila polls will be held on May 8.

The Election Commission (EC) announced the date after the meeting of the election commissioners on Thursday.
The last date for submission of nomination paper on April 15. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on April 17 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 22, said EC additional secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath.

The polls will be held through EVM in 22 upazilas, while on ballot papers in the rest upazilas.
