Five killed in bus-microbus clash

District correspondent : Five people have been killed and three others injured after a bus collided with a microbus in Gopalganj on Wednesday.

One of the injured was identified as Salma Jahan, 35, of Dhaka’s Pallabi and the identity of the other people could not be known.

Bhanga Highway police's SI Noman and Madaripur Fire Service's deputy director Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.

It was known that Dhaka-bound bus of 'Global Paribahan' from Barishal was collided with a Barishal-bound microbus when the bus reached Chhagolchhira Bus Stand in the upazila.

After the collision, the front part of the micro got twisted. Driver and four female passengers died on the spot and three others injured.

Police with the help of Fire Service members recovered the bodies.
