Staff reporter : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday greeted to Vladimir Putin on his reelection as the President of Russia.

Putin won a record post-Soviet landslide victory in Russia's election for the fifth term on Sunday.
Vladimir Putin is about to return to power after getting more than 87 percent of the votes in the Russian presidential election. His nearest rival, Russian Communist Party candidate Nikolai Kharitonov, received just over 4 percent of the vote. Prior to this, voting was held in the country for 3 consecutive days.

Through this victory, Putin's power has been tightened for another 6 years.
Incidentally, the former KGB chief Putin has been at the center of power in Russia since 2000.
