Two Covid deaths in 24 hrs

Sun News Desk: Bangladesh government has reported two COVID-19 deaths and at the same time 218 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday (August 12).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,312 and With the new infections, the total number of Coronavirus cases rose to 20,08,500, the release added.

The new cases were found after testing 4,585 samples across the country in the last 24 hours.

During the period, 350 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the illness. And the total number of recoveries now stands at 19,50,387 and the recovery rate at 97.06 percent, said the release.

Note that Bangladesh detected its first coronavirus patient on 8 March in 2020 and recorded its first death of the disease on 18 March that year.
