Sun News Desk : A college student was killed in a collision between two autorickshaws at Salanga upazila of Sirajganj on Saturday.

The deceased was Naeem Ahmed, 18, son of Majharul Islam, a resident of Bhadash Maddyapara village under Tarash municipality. He was a student of electrical department of Sirajganj Polytechnic Institute.

witnesses ‍said that Naeem along with his father was going to Hatikumrul from Tarash on a CNG-run autorickshaw. On the way, when they reached Kutipara area, an another battery-run autorickshaw collided with their vehicle, leaving Naeem dead on the spot and four other passengers critically injured.

Md Enamul Haque, Salanga Police Station OC, said being informed, police recovered the body from the spot and took in police custody.

Legal action would be taken in this regard, the OC added.
