Sun News Desk : Additional Deputy Commissioner Harun Or Rashid of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has been temporarily suspended for allegedly beating up two BCL leaders.

The home ministry issued a circular in this regard on Monday.

Earlier on Sunday, ADC Harun of Ramna Division was withdrawn and attached to DMP’s Public Order Management (POM) Division.

It was known that ADC Harun was gossiping with a woman at BIRDEM General Hospital, Dhaka on Saturday night. At that time, the woman’s husband along with Chhatra League’s central Organizing Secretary Anwar Hossain and Science Affairs Secretary Sharif Ahmed Munim went there.

At one stage, Harun and the BCL leaders locked into an altercation and scuffle, and later, he along with the police force took the duo to Shahbagh Police Station and beat up them.
