Staff reporter : DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman said that there is no specific threat of terrorist attacks on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

He said this at the Central Shaheed Minar on Monday after inspecting the security measures.

DMP Commissioner said February 20 (Tuesday) will start from 12:00pm on February 21. Security will be ensured in two parts at the central Shaheed Minar. After 12pm, in the first part, the President, Prime Minister, members of the Council of Ministers and foreign diplomats will lay wreaths and later the Shaheed Minar will be thrown open to the public.

She said that the entire area of Doel Chatwar and Book Fair from Palashi Mor has been brought under CCTV. Archway will be installed at each entrance of Shaheed Minar. All who come must enter through the archway with a search. Necessary measures have been taken for traffic management with 4 levels of security at Shaheed Minar. Bomb disposal, SWAT teams, patrolling teams, drones, cyber patrolling will be deployed.​
