Sun News Desk : Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in Dhaka on Friday on a two-day official visit. This will be the first visit of any Russian foreign minister to Bangladesh after independence.

According to the foreign ministry, during his visit, he will make a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and hold an official meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart AK Abdul Momen.
The diplomatic source said during his visit to Dhaka, different issues including Russia-Ukraine war and Bangladesh’s next general election, may be discussed.

Lavrov left Dhaka for India on Friday afternoon to attend the G-20 summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9-10.
