Bangladesh-Brunei sign MoUs

Sun News Desk: Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam on Sunday signed four instruments, including direct air connectivity, manpower export, liquefied gas and petroleum supply, to increase their bilateral relations to a new height.

The bilateral instruments were signed in the presence of visiting Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's Office.

State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali signed the "Air Service Agreement" on behalf of Bangladesh and Brunei's Finance and Economy Minister Amin Abdullah.

Brunei has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dhaka on 'Bangladeshi Manpower Recruitment'. The MoU was signed by Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Minister Imran Ahmed on behalf of Bangladesh and Brunei's Interior Minister Ahmadin bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding for the supply of 'Liquefied Natural Gas and Petroleum Products'. The MoU was signed by Brunei's Finance and Economy Minister Amin Abdullah and Bangladesh's State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid.

Third MoU 'Recognition of Certificates Issued Under the Provisions of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 as Amended'. The MoU was signed by Bangladesh's State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Brunei's Finance and Economy Minister Amin Abdullah.
