Sun News Desk: Six workers were burnt in a fire while repairing the leakage of gas line at Jurain of Kadmatoli Police Station in the capital.

SI Abul Kalam Azad of Kadmatoli police station said that the fire broke out on Friday.
The burnt people are- Khalilur Rahman, 45, Siraj, 20, Mohammad Jummon, 19, Azizul Haque, 65, Abdur Rahman, 60. They have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Engineer Shabiul Alam of Titus Emergency Gas Control Branch said that when there was a leak in the underground gas line on the road behind the Jurain cemetery, the workers dug up the ground to repair it.
The water comes to the place from the drain where the ground is cut. Later, by arranging electric light and putting a motor to drain, the fire started due to spark.

SM Ayub Hossain, Burn Institute resident surgeon, said that 30 percent of Khalil's body and 25 percent of Sirajul Islam's body were burnt. Their condition is critical.
