Sun News Desk: Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Balkiah arrived in Dhaka of his three-day state visit on Saturday.

President Abdul Hamid warmly received the Sultan at the VVIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport amid 21-gun salute and guard of honour upon his arrival by a special flight around 2:30pm
After the welcome ceremony at the airport, the Sultan will be taken to Savar National Memorial in a motorcade. The Sultan will lay a wreath in memory of the brave martyrs of the nine month independence war of Bangladesh, In 1971. Apart from that, there will be planting of a sapling and signing of the visitor book.

From Savar, the Sultan will be taken to a hotel in the capital. He will stay there during his 3 day visit in Dhaka.
The Brunei Sultan is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during his three-day visit. Five agreements are likely to be signed.
