International Desk: At least 35 people were killed, including 22 children, in a gun attack at a day care center in Thailand. The attack was carried out in Nong Bua Lampu in the northeast of the country on Thursday. The attacker is a former member of the police.

The attacker, armed with a shotgun, a pistol and a knife, opened fire on children and adults at the centre in Nong Bua Lamphu province on Thursday before fleeing the scene in a pick-up truck.
The gunman forced his way into a locked room where children were sleeping at the time, according to a witness.

A senior police officer in Nong Bua Lamphu province told that the dead included 23 children, two teachers and a police officer. The attacking police officer first shot and killed four to five employees of the daycare center. A female teacher was among them Who is 8 months pregnant.
