Sun News Desk: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in India's capital New Delhi on a four-day state visit. The Biman Bangladesh Airlines VVIP flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage members landed at the Palam Airpor at 12pm (BD time).

Indian news agency ANI reported this matter on Monday.
State Minister for Railways and Textiles of India Darshana Vikram and Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran received the prime minister at the airport.
Trade, energy, common river water distribution and cooperation in solving the Rohingya problem are expected to be on the top of the agenda during the Prime Minister's four-day state visit. Further enhancing defense cooperation between the two countries, expanding regional connectivity initiatives and establishing stability in South Asia are also high on the agenda of the visit, ANI reported.

The news agency said that Sheikh Hasina is visiting India for the first time after the start of the Corona epidemic. During the visit, Bangladesh Prime Minister will meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He will also hold a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from this, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. During the visit, Sheikh Hasina is also likely to visit Ajmer Sharif. Besides, before returning to Dhaka on September 8, the Prime Minister will visit Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah Sharif, Ajmer (Ajmer Sharif) in Rajasthan and Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah in Delhi on the first day of her visit to India on Monday.

ANI also said that India and Bangladesh have developed a model of regional cooperation over the past few years, reviving several connectivity initiatives. Agartala and Chittagong are expected to be connected by air within a few weeks, besides the re-opening of the Akhaura-Agartala rail link soon.
Besides, during Sheikh Hasina's visit, it is expected that an agreement will be signed between the two sides regarding the distribution of Kushiara river water.

Note that Sheikh Hasina visited India for the last time in 2019.
