Myanmar is not Releasing a US Journalist

International Desk: Myanmar is not releasing US journalist Danny Feinster. A court in the country has denied bail to US journalist Danny Feinster. At the same time, new charges have been filed against him. As a result, he is not being released right now.

Danny's lawyer, J'ong said he had been in prison for the past five months. On Wednesday (November 3), he was again charged with violating immigration laws. He could face up to five months to five years in prison for violating visa requirements.

This has been said in a report of Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, he has been accused of spreading false and provocative information. He could face up to three years in prison for the crime. Danny was arrested on May 24 from Yangon International Airport. He was the managing editor of the online magazine Frontier Myanmar.

He has also been charged with violating the Unlawful Association Act on charges of involvement with illegal opposition parties. This charge can also result in imprisonment for two to three years.
